Honduran Campesinos recovered land in five provinces
Organized peasant groups from two farmer workers unions proceed this morning to recuperate back land lots in five Honduran "departmentos" or provinces: Cortes, Olancho, Francisco Morazán, El Paraíso, and Yoro, as part of the activities carried out within the framework of the commemoration of International Day of Peasants.

Another journalist murdered by hired assassins
In early hours of this day, the journalist Noel Valladares was murdered. The journalist was mortally attacked outside the television station in which he worked at, while driving a vehicle in company of his wife who resulted injured and two other companions who lost their lives.
Repression in Honduras
Honduran land rights activists have denounced threats of violence made in Rigores and Marañones by a large landholder backed by Honduran security forces, and a plan for military intervention in campesino communities.
